Las actividades se realizaron en la ciudad de Villa Ygatimí, donde se mantuvieron encuentros con representantes de la Municipalidad, miembros de la Comisión Amigos de la Naturaleza y técnicos de la Dirección de Extensión Agraria (DEAG) del Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG). Durante las reuniones, los participantes compartieron las acciones que vienen desarrollando en torno a la Laguna de Villa Ygatimí, un ecosistema de gran valor conformado por siete nacientes de agua.
Como parte de la visita, se realizó un recorrido técnico por la laguna, que permitió identificar algunos desafíos, como la necesidad de fortalecer la concienciación sobre el cuidado del espejo de agua, la recuperación de ciertas nacientes y la importancia de investigar sobre la biodiversidad asociada.
En ese contexto, se acordó continuar con el acompañamiento técnico del MADES al municipio, impulsando acciones conjuntas que incluyan capacitaciones y asistencia técnica orientadas a la gestión integral por cuencas.
El Proyecto Forest 4Life enfoca sus acciones en tres sitios prioritarios: la Reserva San Rafael, la Reserva Natural del Bosque Mbaracayú y la Reserva de la Biósfera del Chaco, promoviendo la protección del agua, la biodiversidad y el desarrollo de prácticas productivas sostenibles.
